The Veilrend Heights

The Veilrend Heights is a dramatic, sky-splitting region in northeastern Ryokuzan, defined by towering, mist-wreathed pillar mountains, deep canyons, hidden sanctuaries, and ancient temples clinging to cliffsides. The land breathes with elemental magic—winds whisper secrets, and the skies are patrolled by dragonriders.

Once under the control of the tyrannical Xian Dynasty, the Heights are now fiercely guarded by the Skyburner Tribe—a proud alliance of avian Lyrians and Oni dragonriders—and the Kang Sovereignty, a human nation born from rebellion and spiritual renewal. Sacred air currents, mystical ruins, and the bones of ancient wyrms rest within the peaks.

Veilrend is a land of constant tension: part sanctuary, part battleground, with the looming threat of Xian retribution ever present.

The Shinzoku Reach

“Where Steel Meets Spirit, and Empires Collide.”

The Shinzoku Reach is the powerful and volatile western region of Ryokuzan, home to three of the continent’s greatest nations: the Ironclaw Dynasty, the Komu Empire, and the Onishi Empire. Named for the ancient word Shinzoku (神族) meaning “divine-blooded,” the region is revered and feared as a place where magic, technology, and spirit-bound bloodlines have shaped the very land.
