The Kingdom of Rainecourt is a land of striking natural beauty, powerful heritage, and strategic importance, nestled in the heart of eastern Virelia. With a history steeped in royal tradition, technological advancement, and mystical lore, it is a kingdom that thrives between rugged mountains, serene lakes, and fertile plains. The addition of an island off its eastern coast further enhances the kingdom’s reach and influence.

Lymeria

Lymeria is a vast forest kingdom located in the ancient heart of the world’s most enchanted jungles and primeval woods. Though dominated by Sylvan Lyrians, it embraces diversity, especially in cosmopolitan cities like Verdemere, its capital. Kelian Guard

The Kelian Guard is a militaristic human stratocracy located southeast of Lymeria and Rainecourt. Founded by the legendary general Torvek Kel, it is a nation ruled entirely by its military elite. There are no kings or nobles—only ranked officers who earn authority through merit, battlefield command, and discipline.

Though not an expansionist, the Kelian Guard maintains an aggressive posture along its borders—particularly wary of Lymeria’s magic and Rainecourt’s alliances.

The Maston Protectorate

The Maston Protectorate is a zealous human theocracy in the northeastern region of Virelia, ruled by the Lightwardens’ Synod. It is governed through strict religious law and reverence for Vireth, the Light of Order. Mastonians view themselves as humanity's chosen, enforcing rigid hierarchies and spiritual purity. Non-humans are marginalized or forbidden entirely, and worship is mandatory. Though not currently at war, the Protectorate maintains tense borders with both Lymeria and Rainecourt.

Thalara’s Veil

The Thalara’s Veil is the collective name given to the immense region of southern wilderness stretching from the edge of The Narthul Wastes all the way to the distant, mist-choked southern coasts. It contains a variety of biomes: deep jungles, savannas, rolling plains, low mountains, and ancient woodland. The land resists full colonization, not through armies, but through its wildness—beasts, storms, disease, and arcane phenomena rule here.

The Worldspine Mountains

The Worldspine Mountains are the largest and most formidable mountain range in Virelia—three times the breadth of Earth’s Himalayas. Home to the Kray nations, vast Corbinite deposits, and ancient secrets, the range is a labyrinth of deep caverns, volcanic cores, and hidden cities. It serves as both a natural barrier and a crucible of magic, metal, and myth.
